About: The project to design a new web site for the Los Altos Town Crier, the local newspaper for the hometowns of Silicon Valley, achieved two major goals. On the front, the web site has clear navigation system for users and an attractive appearance for advertisers. The back-end web publishing system generates the web site from printing/publishing software (Quark/InDesign). XML/XSLT technology with intensive use of CSS has been used to meet both requirements with maximum efficiency.
